REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be enrolled in an academic program and working towards completing a PhD degree
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:
- We are seeking a talented computational scientist to help us expand our simulation capability. We are passionate about fast, and reliable power system simulators for a clean electric grid. As a computational scientist you will...
- Optimize codes and algorithms to take full advantage of powerful, modern computer hardware.
- Collaborate with power system specialists in the architecture and development of complex simulation software to improve simulation speed and accuracy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong interest in simulations.
- Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Python, Java, C/C++
- Knowledge of numerical methods such as nonlinear/linear differential equations, differentiation and integration, solving systems of equations, time discretization and simulation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have knowledge of the electric grid.
- Are a skilled and efficient programmer in scientific programming languages (e.g, Python, JAX, C++, Julia, etc.) with a desire to expand into new areas of coding languages and processes.
- Have familiarity with hardware and processor architectures.
The US base salary range for this role is between $108,000 - $127,000 + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
