Team

Born from X, the moonshot factory, and working alongside teams at Google, we’re building a new type of robot. One that can learn by itself, to help anyone with (almost) anything. With one foot in today, and the other in tomorrow, we seek to turn the helper robots of science fiction novels into reality. Doing this requires taking on the hardest problems in robotics. All so we can work towards a future where helper robots are a part of a better everyday, for everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Define data and privacy policies with product counsel and privacy teams
  • Harden robot and cloud software platform by implementing security and privacy best practices such as encryption-at-rest, audit logging, anonymization, etc. Build tooling, infrastructure, and platforms that implement security & privacy principles.
  • Establish Policies to ensure that the data stored respects privacy and security principles. Work with machine learning teams to ensure data pipelines respect varying privacy requirements
  • Participate in risk/threat analysis
  • Establish secure remote access and auditing of robots
  • Set priority and vision for security and privacy for the engineering initiatives at EDR
  • Educate and bring awareness to security and privacy standard methodologies to the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in systems administration, digital forensics, security engineering and privacy engineering.
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Go, and/or Java

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to lead collaborative teams in ambiguous situations
  • Outstanding organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills and a data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges
